Meet Charmaine
I am a registered Social Worker in Private Practice, a married mother of two wonderful boys and someone who is deeply passionate about people, families and the wellbeing of children.
My journey in social work began more than 17 years ago and has allowed me the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families during some of the most challenging and meaningful seasons of their lives.
Over the years I have worked in child protection, family support, trauma intervention and community development, always striving to promote the best interests of children while supporting the families who care for them.
I obtained my BA in Social Work in 2009 and completed my Master's Degree in Forensic Practice in 2012. Much of my professional experience was gained during more than 15 years with CMR Komatipoort, followed by my work with Mosaic Paarl Valley, where I continued serving children, families and vulnerable individuals beyond my professional role.
I am someone who loves learning, reading, travelling and exploring new places. I enjoy meeting people from different walks of life and believe that every person has a unique story worth hearing. These experiences continually broaden my understanding of people and strengthen my ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
As a bilingual practitioner I provide services in both Afrikaans and English. My Christian faith serves as a personal source of guidance, compassion, hope and influences the way I approach people — with respect, kindness and dignity.
Whether I am working with a child, a parent, an adult facing personal challenges, or a family navigating change, my goal remains the same: to create a safe space where people feel heard, supported and empowered to move forward.
It is a privilege to do the work that I do, and I remain committed to serving every client with professionalism, empathy and genuine care.
Every child. Every family. Every person matters.
